About Department

The Mechanical Engineering Department at MIT Rotegaon is one of the most reputed departments in terms of facility, faculty, students, and activities. It continues to lead and expand its activities in various directions. The Department is known for its expertise and State-of-the-art facilities, especially in CAD-CAM, Manufacturing and Production Technology, I. C. Engines and also in other core areas. Experimental and computational facilities are being continuously upgraded.

Industry interaction has been increased with industrial visits and arranging expert lectures by industry personnel and carrying out industry-sponsored projects for students. The students actively participated in various reputed contests of national repute technical competitions in various colleges and credited a number of Winner titles to the department. The department has been providing excellent placement to students. The placement cell also facilitates the students to get training in industries. A good number of Workshops and Seminars are also organized for teachers for sharing and updating their technical knowledge.

PSO 1. An ability to apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and Mechanical engineering specialization to solve mechanical engineering problems

PSO 2. Identify, formulate, literate & analyze mechanical engineering problems substantiated conclusion using analytical tools such as quality control tools, theories of failure, laws of thermodynamics, Principles of analysis, work measurement, method study etc. Design solutions for mechanical Engineering problems & contribute to the manufacturing systems, thermodynamic systems, and machine components.
